TLS signed “George,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences letterhead, April 23, 1958. Letter to a friend. In part: “After the Awards Show, I had to go to New York on a business trip and only returned recently. Your congratulations, believe me, were deeply appreciated…I have been trying for a long time to get our own industry to be the sponsor of our show, and this year I finally succeeded.” In fine condition, with light scattered creases and ink and pencil address notations to the top.
