DS, one page, 5 x 8, May 28, 1913. Document acknowledging the receipt of a check for $1,165.00 from the Frank A. Munsey Company for “one serial entitled ‘Number Thirteen’…first serial rights only.” Nicely signed at the bottom in black ink, “Edgar Rice Burroughs.” The original check is affixed by an edge to the reverse of the document, bearing Burrough’s endorsement signature on the reverse, with a single cancellation hole touching the bottom of one letter. In fine condition, with a light vertical crease and light toning. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
