A sentimental Astaire writes to George Burns after seeing a clip of Gracie Allen

ALS signed “Fred,” one page, 5.75 x 7.75, personal letterhead, May 23. Letter to George Burns. In full: “I enjoyed so much watching Gracie and me doing our thing in that clip on the A. F. I. show. Wanted to get down to see you but as you know its kind of difficult table hopping at those affairs. Love all the things you’re doing George—every appearance is a gem.” In fine condition, with paperclip impression to top edge. Astaire appeared with Burns and Allen in the 1937 film, A Damsel in Distress. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
