Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R.,” one page, 13.5 x 9.5, October 25, 1798. The King appoints Edward Nugent Gent to be Ensign in the Thirty Sixth Regiment of the Foot commanded by General Henry St. John. In very good condition, with three vertical folds, one lightly grazing the last letter of the signature, scattered toning and foxing, and a few light pencil notations. Seal is crisp and intact, as is the blue revenue stamp. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
