Carpenter writes to Arnold Schwager of Esmereldes, Ecuador, in full: “My sincere thanks for your generosity in sending the INCA Indian relics. Your thoughtful gesture is deeply appreciated, and you may be assured that they have been given a permanent place among the many other mementos I have been so fortunate to receive.” In fine condition, with light creasing and intersecting folds, none of which affect the pristine signature.
