Description

Scarce portrait of a Hollywood recluse

Legendary screen actress of the silent era whose brief but successful career ended with her retirement from show business in 1931. Uncommon glossy 8 x 10 photo of Brooks dressed in black for her 1927 film Now We’re in the Air, signed and inscribed in black felt tip to noted producer Bill Kenley, “To Bill Kenley, Love, Louise Brooks.” In fine condition, with scattered light creases and surface marks. A desirable portrait of Brooks from her all too brief career. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
