Jolson turns over ‘My Follies Girl’

DS, signed “Al Jolson,” four pages, 8.5 x 11, April 19, 1944. Agreement in which Jolson and fellow songwriter Harry Akst grant permission to Loew’s Incorporated for the use of ‘My Follies Girl.’ In part: “The rights herein acquired by Loew’s are granted forever and shall extend through any and all copyright and renewals and extensions thereof. The writers agree to cause renewals of all copyright in the musical composition duly to be obtained and all rights herein granted are now assigned to Loew’s for the renewal term and during any extension of copyright.” Also signed by Akst. In fine condition, with light handling wear, and two punch holes and staple holes at the top of each page. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
