Baseball Hall of Fame player, manager, and team owner in the Negro Leagues, as well as a star professional basketball player and team owner (1890–1946). Although he died in 1946, he was not elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame until 60 years later. DS, signed “C. W. Posey,” one page, 10 x 8, May 22, 1942. Homestead [Pennsylvania] High School diploma issued to Robert Russell Williams and signed by Posey as one of the school’s directors. Also signed by eight other school officials. Very light toning and a couple of faint creases, otherwise very fine condition. Accompanied by the original presentation folder. Posey is among the rarest of all Hall of Fame signatures.
