Description

Early Cooper portrait from 1928's Lilac Time

Handsome early vintage pearl-finish 8 x 10 photo of Cooper in military uniform, most likely as Captain Philip Blythe in the film Lilac Time, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Margaret, from your friend, Gary Cooper, March 27, 1929.” Silvering to darker areas of image, light creases to three corners, a few surface marks, and a bit of light contrast to small portion of signature and inscription, otherwise fine condition. A dashing image from the beginning of the screen legend’s career. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
