Description

“I wish you the very best in your controversy over the World Affairs Council and I am sure that you will hold your own!”

TLS signed “Dick,” one page, 8 x 10.25, United States Senate letterhead, March 19, 1952. Letter to Stuart Ward of the Commonwealth Club of California. In full: “This is just a note to thank you for sending me the very extensive report on the reactions to the Commonwealth talk. I certainly appreciated your very generous comments and I particularly want to thank you for making it possible for me to address the Club. I have been very pleasantly surprised by the amount of mail we have received from people throughout the State who heard the radio broadcast—apparently you have built up a big listening audience. Needless to say, I wish you the very best in your controversy over the World Affairs Council and I am sure that you will hold your own!” In fine condition, with a bit of scattered trivial soiling, and an extra horizontal fold along bottom edge. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
