English novelist (1884–1941) who appeared in 1935’s David Copperfield. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Walpole as The Vicar from David Copperfield, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Hugh Walpole.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of August 9, 1935, the date the signature was acquired. In fine condition, with some scattered light creases and surface marks, and some scattered light discoloration to background. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
