Ike apologizes for long distance sentiments: "I do wish they didn't have to travel 3,000 miles though!"

TLS signed "D. E.," one page, 7 x 10.25, personal letterhead, February 3, 1962. Letter to his longtime friend, Major General Howard McC. Snyder. In part: "It's that time of year again- and as always my warmest felicitations and good wishes go your way. I do wish they didn't have to travel 3,000 miles though! Mamie and I were in Los Angeles two days this week. Many of your old friends inquired about you, with great affection." In fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
