Hand-addressed free franked envelope, 5.75 x 3, addressed by Fillmore to "The Gazette, Attica, New York," and franked in the upper right, "M. Fillmore," next to a "Free" stamp. Envelope also bears a September 10, Buffalo, New York, postal cancellation. Uniform toning, a few small spots, pencil notations on reverse, and some mild creasing and wrinkling, otherwise fine condition. All of Fillmore's writing is quite bold.
