Description

Wright signs his 1955 volume, An American Architecture

Signed book: An American Architecture. First edition, first printing. NY: Horizon Press, 1955. Hardcover, 9.25 x 12.25, 269 pages. Signed and inscribed in a color box on the first free end page, 'To Rene Carillo, congratulations and hope— Frank Lloyd Wright /55.' Carrillo persuaded Wright to create the ‘Taliesin Line’ of Decorative Fabrics and Wallpapers, 1955. A prior owner’s name is written to the left of Wright’s signature. In very good condition, with mild wear, scattered toning (a little heavier along the edges) to the signed page, scattered soiling, partial separation of the fabric on the back cover along the spine, which is also a bit loose but the pages all fully intact. Insightful commentary from the titan of modern architecture. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
