Irish author (1847–1912) best known for his horror classic Dracula. ALS, two pages, 4.75 x 8, Lyceum Theatre letterhead, July 1, 1892. One of Stoker’s typically difficult-to-decipher letters. In part: “I was sorry I did not get to see you the other night. I returned Jerome’s letter … it will be a couple of months before we see Caine so nothing can be done … Caine can get £10 per 1000, so I do not suppose a £100 per 15,000 will tempt him much.” Double matted and framed with a portrait of Stoker to an overall size of 25.5 x 15.5. Light central horizontal and vertical fold, and a few scattered spots and creases, otherwise fine condition. A highly desirable literary autograph. Oversized. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
