Benny Friedman

College and Pro Football Hall of Famer (1905–1982) generally considered the first great passer in the sport. Stricken with severe diabetes, Friedman committed suicide at the age of 77. Fountain pen signature, “To Charles Blumby, Sincerely, Benny Friedman,” on an off-white 4.5 x 2.75 card. In fine condition, with two printed lines touching the top of the inscription and end of his name, a square of soiling along the left side touching some of his handwriting, and a James Spence Authentication sticker affixed. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
