Boxing Hall of Famer (1881-1955) who was heavyweight boxing champion of the world from 1906–08. Vintage glossy 3 x 5 photo of an older Burns posing with two women, one of which is his wife, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen “To Jimmy Wiggins, Tommy Burns 1947.” On the reverse, Burns has written, “I have no pictures when I was World’s champion. This is a map with my wife & her fat friend. God bless you Jimmy. Tommy Burns, June 26/47.” In very good condition, with surface impressions from Burns’s notes and signature on reverse.
