Chunky child star who was a member of Our Gang in the original Hal Roach silent comedies. ALS, signed twice, one page both sides, 8.5 x 9, no date. Letter to a fan answering several questions. In part: “I’m working in maintenance at Rockwell. I work at night…I didn’t act before that. I was selected when I went to Hal Roach Studio, Sept. 1922.” On the reverse, Cobb writes a signature and sentiment for the fan: “I hope this will help you some. Your friend, Joe Cobb.” In fine condition, with trimmed edges. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
