British actor (1868–1946) who won the 1930 Academy Award as Best Actor for the title role in Disraeli. ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Hotel Utica letterhead, April 16, 1914. Letter of thanks to company. In part: “I assure you it was a very great pleasure to me and to my wife to meet you and your guests the other night.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, scattered toning and foxing, and some mild edge wear.
