Early ALS signed “Mick, XX,” one page, 4.5 x 7, no date [1960s]. Jagger writes to a fan named Imelda. In full: “Thank you very much for your letter. Glad you like our disc ‘Satisfaction.’ Sorry I haven’t time to write more, must go now….” Double matted and framed, with a 45 rpm disc and sleeve for “Satisfaction” to an overall size of 18 x 21. Intersecting mailing folds (touching signature), wrinkling, and a few light stains and water spots (the latter resulting in running to a few words of text and the “M” of “Mick”), otherwise very good condition. ‘Satisfaction,’ was first released as a single in the United States in June 1965, giving the Stones their first number one in the United States. In Britain the single was released in August 1965; it became the Rolling Stones' fourth UK number one. In 2004 Rolling Stone magazine placed ‘Satisfaction’ in the second spot on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. A fantastic letter mentioning one of the Stones’ earliest and best-known hits. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RRAuction COA.
