Partial ink signature, “[Geor]ge Washington” on an off-white 3.25 x .75 slip clipped from a larger document from March 1769. Double matted and framed, with a Washington portrait, to an overall size of 14.5 x 17.5. In good condition, with tape repair to a horizontal separation through portion of signature (concealed by the matting), first four letters of signature missing due to surface loss, and light soiling and toning. Accompanied by a photocopy of the document from which this signature was removed. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
