Full hand-addressed free frank, as president, measuring 10 x 8 unfolded, with the franked panel measuring 5.25 x 3.5, addressed in Jefferson’s hand to “The first Clerk of the Department of War, Washington,” and franked in the upper left “Free Th: Jefferson Pr. US.” In fine, bright condition, with two vertical folds to address panel, one through a single letter of signature, a few small fold separations to edges of full sheet, and some paper loss to top edge from removed seal.
