Gorgeous vintage matte-finish 7.75 x 9.5 photo of Marilyn bathed in soft light and wrapped in fur, signed and inscribed in white ink, “To Jean, Marilyn Monroe.” In fine condition, with unobtrusive professional repair to a small tear to left edge, a few small areas of professional restoration to a few surface marks and creases, including one to facial area, none of which affect the wonderful signature. This image, captured in 1952 by photographer Frank Powolny, portrays the screen goddess in a deliberate, slightly hazy glow, almost symbolic of the way most men would come to look at the starlet.
