Very nice AQS on an off-white 5 x 3 card. Gershwin pens the lyrics to a verse from the song “It Ain’t Necessarily So,” from Porgie and Bess. In full: “Methus'lah lived nine hundred years, Methus'lah lived nine hundred years, But who calls dat livin' when no gal'll give in, To no man what's nine hundred years.” Signed at the conclusion, “From ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’ (Porgie and Bess), Ira Hershwin,” adding a brief inscription at the top. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
