Signed book: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. First edition. London: Bloomsbury, 2000. Hardcover with dustjacket, 5.25 x 8, 636 pages. Signed on the dedication page in black ink by Rowling. In very good condition, with hinges and spine separated from binding, light edge and corner bumps to covers, moderate ceasing to spine, and some scattered light soiling to fore-edges. Dustjacket is creased, with some small edge tears, scratches, and wear.
By the time Rowling had published the fourth Harry Potter book, the franchise had taken on a life of its own and the author was signing fewer and fewer copies. In fact, to promote the publication, Rowling chose to do a mere four-day book-signing tour of England. As a result, any autographed first edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire commands a premium, often high four-figure price tag, with a few examples having realized more than $10,000!
