Ink signature, “R. E. Lee, Bt Col Engrs,” on a light blue 3.25 x 1.5 slip. Signature is affixed by its left edge to a 7.5 x 4.5 sheet above a collector’s short manuscript biography. In fine condition, with a light strip of toning to left edge, not affecting signature, and a stray ink mark next to signature. A nice pre-Civil War example.
