Description

Ruggero Leoncavallo

Italian composer (1858–1919) best known for his operas, particularly the beloved repertoire staple Pagliacci (1892). ALS in Italian, signed “Ruggero,” one page, on the correspondence side of a 5.5 x 3.5 postcard, no date. Postcard sent to Carlo. In full, “Serga thinks you took that little book on Wagner with you that I need very, very urgently because I have to write to the author. Please send it to me.” In very good condition, with light soiling and show-through of image onto correspondence side, and two postage stamps and cancellations to top.
