Felt tip signature and inscription, “Ira—This took ‘true persistence,’ John Wayne, 1973,” on an off-white 9.5 x 6.25 sheet of paper bearing a photocopy of a postal cover honoring True Grit that the collector was planning to create. Accompanied by a copy of the original TLS sent to Wayne requesting his signature on a separate postal cover created in his honor.
