Apollo 16 insurance cover with a color cachet of the mission logo and an April 16, 1972, Kennedy Space Center cancellation, 6.5 x 3.5, signed in blue felt tip by all three crew members: John Young, Ken Mattingly, and Charlie Duke. Reverse of the cover bears a wonderful original Robert McCall artwork of the lunar rover on the surface of the moon, with the command module rocketing by overhead. At the top Duke has written, “This insurance cover is from my personal space collection. Charles M. Duke, Jr.” Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Charlie Duke, stating the cover came from his personal collection, and showing Duke personally displaying both sides of the cover.
