All seven members of the famed Mercury Seven signed this 8 x 10 composite photograph. The central image is that of a Mercury Atlas rocket stationed on a launch pad, and surrounding the spacecraft are portrait representations of the famous crew (all pictured in their civilian clothes). Each astronaut placed a more formal example of his autograph vertically beside his likeness, and featured are the signatures of “Alan B. Shepard, Jr.,” “Virgil I. Grissom,” “M. Scott Carpenter,” “Walter W. Schirra, Jr.,” “Donald K. Slayton,” “ John H. Glenn, Jr.,” and “Leroy G. Cooper, Jr.” Scattered, light creases, yet the item showcases fine condition. Not only did all members of the Mercury Seven sign the attractive piece, but each autograph is of the much-less-common “formal” variety. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
