The vintage fountain pen signature of diamond legend Cy Young is on display on this off-white, 4.5 x 2.5 slip. The Hall of Famer’s autograph reads, “Compliments Cy Young, Peoli, O, Jan 29, 1932,” which is graded “NM-MT 8” by the accompanying PSA authentication label. In fine condition despite scattered areas of mild toning, as well as a bit of light skipping to the inscription and the beginning of the athlete’s last name. Interestingly, in 1955, twenty-three years after he graced this slip with his autograph, Young was buried in Peoli, Ohio. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
