Scarce and vintage, color glossy 7.5 x 9.5 photo. A seldom-seen token penned by Elliot See (1927-1966), the would-be commander of Gemini 9 who perished in a plane crash before the historic voyage. See inscribed, “With best regards to Joe Gorino and appreciation for your help—Elliot See,” and the blue ballpoint autograph, though light as a result of irregular ink flow, remains completely legible. It appears as though See actually attempted to strengthen his penning by writing over a portion of it with blue ink. Fine condition. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
