ALS signed “Grey,” four pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7.25, October 20, 1825. Lengthy letter in his difficult to decipher hand updating the health of his wife. In part: “I am very sorry that in answer to your kind inquiry, I cannot make a very favorable report of Lady Grey.” In very good condition, with partial separation to connecting fold, horizontal mailing fold through signature, soiling to top of last page, and reinforcement along fold.
