Having difficulty getting supplies

ALS signed “Z. Taylor, Lt. Col., 7th R. U.S. Infy, Cmdg,” one page, 8 x 9.5, July 28, 1822. Letter written from Sulphur Fork of Red River to the acting Adjutant General. In full: “I have appointed Mr. B. Bullitt Sutler to the company of the 7th Regt. U. States Infantry, stationed at this place, as Mr. B. has been at considerable expense & trouble in getting his supplies. I should be glad if the appointment could be confirmed.” Small separations along intersecting folds, and a few spots of scattered light toning, and two circular (probably seal-related) stains, otherwise fine condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
