Esteemed American politician and orator (1782–1852) who was a longtime member of Congress and who served as Secretary of State under Harrison and Tyler. ALS signed “Danl. Webster,” one page, 7 x 5, August 29, no year. Webster transmits an unspecified certificate to James Wadsworth at Harvard. Accompanied by an address panel to Wadsworth from a later date. In very good condition, with trimmed edges, small edge tear and a few mild wrinkles, faint stains to blank portions, and one fold touching signature. R&R COA.
