ANS signed “JWH,” one page, 4 x 5, November 1890. Howe writes to an unnamed collector. In full: “I think that I wrote this for you, and mislaid it. Anyhow, it is better than my usual script.” Above the text, Howe has also written her name in full and added the date. Matted with a book photo and brass plaque to an overall size of 14 x 10.5. In fine condition, with usual mailing fold (away from writing), light toning, and a few faint stains. R&R COA.
