Financial letter regarding Clymer’s statements and a loan payment to a Colonel. In part, “You have under cover…all my loans in your County balance by my deposit as payment to him…This statement has been formed from your and the accounts of former Comms put into Col…hands for that purpose and would have been sent as early as its date in May but then I was then abroad in N. York where I have remained until a few days past.” On the reverse of the second integral page, Clymer writes, “I should be glad to be informed of the receipt of this by the post, and not by any private hand whatever. Letters by travellers so frequently being lost. G. C.” In fine condition, with two horizontal folds, some mild toning and a small area of paper loss to right edge.
