In part, “Forgive me the delay in sending you this check for, one hundred marks, for some lip salve to be sent to me in care of the Berlin Hotel…Since Lucille & I talked with you on the telephone, I have been very, very busy.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Armstrong’s hand, with his full signature appearing on the reverse in the return address area.
