Signed postal cover, 9.5 x 4, postmarked Victory, Vermont, April 12, 1945 (but signed later), with a cachet commemorating the death of FDR. The front of the envelope is printed with portraits of every president from Washington to Truman, and the bottom edge bears the printed notation “Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt died suddenly today in Warm Springs, Georgia.” Interesting and uncommon. In fine condition, with toning, light edge wear, and chip to one corner. R&R COA.
