Description

TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, January 7, 1963. Truman sends thanks to George Goldman for a gift. In part: “I don’t know when I have seen a prettier blue four-in-hand tie. You can be sure I will put it to good use in 1963. Thank you very, very much for your continuing kindnesses.” After signing, Truman adds a handwritten postscript: “Understand I’ll have a chance to take a shot at you soon—verbally of course!” In fine condition, with usual mailing folds (away from signature) and small secretarial notation at top edge.
