Mailing envelope, 6 x 4, addressed on the front in Joplin’s hand to, “Mr. Peter J. deBlanc, 58 W. 75th St., New York, 23, N.Y. 10023, c/o Boutilier,” with Joplin writing on the reverse, “Miss Janis Lyn Joplin, 3130 Lombardy, Port Arthur, TX.” Joplin also adds, “No. 15?,” and “Air Mail!!,” across the top of the envelope, which also bears a September 24, 1965, Port Arthur, Texas cancellation mark.
