Letter to an unidentified gentleman. In part, “I enclose a poem, which is in Putnam for December… Did you publish the ‘Memories of Haydon.’ If so, will you be so kind as to send me a copy.” Matted and framed so that both sides of the letter are visible, with a small photo of Longfellow, to an overall size of 17.5 x 10.75. In fine condition, with expected folds, pencil notation to top of front page and a bit of scattered light soiling. R&R COA.
