Russian-born French artist and designer, considered to be “The Father of Art Deco.” Glossy 6.5 x 8.5 photo of the elderly artist seated beside one of his illustrations and stroking a Persian cat, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint “To Allesandro Medici, Erté.” In fine condition, with faint vertical crease towards center, creasing to the upper right border, a few faint surface impressions.
