William E. Thornton's vintage US Navy G-1 leather flight jacket, size 48, crafted from durable seal-brown goatskin leather with a synthetic fur collar. The jacket features a zippered front, two pouch pockets with button closures, and brown knit rib cuffs and waistband. The manufacturer's tag is sewn inside the collar: "Jacket, Flyer's, Intermediate, Type G-1, Size 48, MIL-J-7823E (AS), Brill Bros., Inc., 8415-00-268-7624." In fine condition, with moderate wear to the cuffs.
