LS in Italian, signed “G. F. Card'le Albani,” one page, 8 x 10.5, June 5, 1695. Letter written from Rome by the future Pope Clement XI, then Cardinal Giovanni Francesco Albani, expressing gratitude concerning a recovery from illness and recommending Monsignor Caffarelli to the continued favor and consideration of the recipients. In very good condition, with scattered creasing and paper loss, notably to the upper left and an area to the lower left; the handwriting remains bold and crisp.
