Two DSs, each signed twice by Paul Simon and Arthur Garfunkel, both seven pages, 8.5 x 11, December 14, 1964. Pair of William Morris Agency theatrical motion picture artists' manager contracts, each executed separately by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel shortly after the release of their debut album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. Both contracts appoint William Morris Agency as their representative in the motion picture industry under standard agency terms, with each agreement individually signed in ballpoint by Simon and Garfunkel at the conclusion and again on an attached rider stapled to the reverse. Dated December 14, 1964, the contracts capture Simon and Garfunkel during the earliest stage of their Columbia Records career, just weeks after the release of Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. Although the album initially attracted little commercial attention, it laid the foundation for the duo's breakthrough the following year when the remixed single "The Sound of Silence" became a chart-topping hit, launching Simon & Garfunkel as one of the defining musical acts of the era.
