Rare dual-signed copy of Briefcase Full of Blues, the debut album from the Blues Brothers, inscribed by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd

Briefcase Full of Blues album by the Blues Brothers, signed and inscribed on the front cover in blue ink, "Amy + Meg, Love, John Belushi, xxx," who signs over a failed first attempt in black ink ["Khalilah, Love, John Belushi"], and in blue ballpoint, "Amy + Meg, Honor thy Father and Mother, Be good, Love, Elwood, Dan Aykroyd." In very good to fine condition, with a small collector's touch-up to the first name of Aykroyd's inscription, and Belushi redoing his entire inscription and signature with a new pen after a failed first attempt. The record is included.

Released on November 28, 1978, Briefcase Full of Blues was the Blues Brothers' debut album, recorded live at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles while opening for Steve Martin. The album topped the Billboard chart, achieved double-platinum certification, and ranks among the best-selling blues albums of all time, featuring the hit singles 'Soul Man' and 'Rubber Biscuit.' It is dedicated to Curtis Salgado, whose stage persona inspired John Belushi's creation of the Blues Brothers.
