Description

Ink signatures, "Cindy, I left my balls in San Francisco, Best wishes, Angus, AC/DC" and "Hi yall! Brian Johnson, AC/DC," on an off-white 3.75 x 6 sheet. In very fine condition. The consignor notes that the signatures were obtained when the band appeared on the nationally syndicated Rockline radio program, hosted by Bob Coburn, which connected fans with famous rock musicians and aired on hundreds of stations, including those serving the San Francisco Bay Area, from 1981 until its final broadcast in December 2014. Per to the consignor, Angus Young's humorous inscription is a tongue-in-cheek play on Tony Bennett's signature song, 'I Left My Heart in San Francisco.' With disco clubs at the height of their popularity at the time of AC/DC's visit to the Bay Area, Young appears to jokingly substitute "balls" for 'heart' as a lighthearted jab at the disco scene.
