Vintage matte-finish 10 x 8 photo of the cast and crew of the 1934 film Gift of Gab, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "Boris Karloff," "Karl Freund," "Binnie Barnes," "June Knight—Hello Jone," "To Jone, Douglas Montgomery," "Roger Pryor," and "Rian James.” In fine condition, with a crease to the upper right corner. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
Karl Freund was among the most influential cinematographers and directors of the twentieth century, celebrated for his groundbreaking work on Metropolis, Dracula, The Mummy, and Mad Love, and later for pioneering the multi-camera filming technique used on I Love Lucy. His autograph is exceptionally scarce, and signed photographs are seldom encountered. This is the only Freund-signed photo we've ever seen, made even more desirable by the signatures of Karloff and company.
