The Beatles sign while filming their first movie, A Hard Day’s Night, obtained by Ringo Starr’s stand-in in March/April 1964

Vintage autograph book, 6.25 x 4.25, signed and inscribed inside in ballpoint by the Beatles on four separate pages: “To Loraine, love, John Lennon,” “To Loraine, Love from, Ringo Starr, xx,” “To Lorraine, love Paul McCartney (Beatles, xx),” and “To Loraine love from, George Harrison, xxx,” who signs on the front pastedown; each signed page area bears an affixed image of the respective Beatle. The consignor notes that the signatures were obtained on the set of A Hard Day's Night in London, in either March or April 1964. The book is also signed by Wilfred Brambell, who played McCartney's grandfather in the film. In very good to fine condition, with old tape stains at the corners of the small affixed photos. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and a letter of provenance from the original recipient: “My name is Lorraine. Growing up in London, my neighbour was a lad called Eddy Dillon, who was a stand-in for Ringo Starr in ‘A Hard Day’s Night.’ He took my autograph book to the film set and got the autographs of the Beatles.”
